Imagining conservatively or transformatively

The imagination can be used both ‘conservatively’ and ‘transformatively’. Most of us use it conservatively by building our world from images supplied by the memory and the evidence of the senses. This could be said to be its unconscious use where we are creating our world unknowingly.

Its use is creatively transformative when we consciously imagine things as they ought to be and build our world out of feeling and imagining the wish fulfilled. The images of the senses have a stronger impact on our mind and naturally take precedence over all others; therefore if an individual imagines how his dream would feel and gives it sensory vividness consistently, it must eventually manifest in some shape, in the outer world of form.

However, a present sense impression is only an image and is no different in nature to a memory image or the image of a wish. Every image can be embodied but unless we actually enter the image and think from it, it is incapable of birth.

Once we start seeing our world as being part of ourselves, we will gradually cease to rebel against certain conditions in our lives, and instead focus our attention on positive and noble states of being.

Moving into states

You can be anything you want to be, if you understand that there are only states of being.

These states of being are entered by matching your concept of yourself to how you would feel if you occupied the new state. You are able to move into a new state because every state has the same occupant which is God.

When you see this, you are able to forgive every being in the world as everyone is instrumental in fulfilling your dream. It’s all infinite states.

Throughout life, we all have our own desires and when these are fulfilled, more spring up. We fulfil these desires by not fighting objective reality but by imagining what the state would feel like were we to achieve our objective at that point in time. As we have continued success in fulfilling our desires, we will cling less tightly to them, feeling the abundance of God’s creation for everyone and as we cling less to our various desires, we may find comfort and peace in anchoring ourselves with gratitude and love in the presence of God.

Nothing happens or continues in being by a power of its own. Events happen because comparatively stable imaginal activities created them and they continue in being only as long as they receive such support.”

How to get into the desired state

Ask yourself, ‘How would it feel, if it were true?’

It is not enough to entertain an idea- it must produce a feeling.

Catch the feeling.

Then Jesus looked upward and said, ‘Father, I thank you for hearing me. I know that you always hear me…’

-John 41-42

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

-1 John 5:15

He hears you as he lives within you therefore the depth of your being has heard your request and felt your assumption.

Repentance means ‘a radical change of attitude’. If you change your attitude, you will change your state of consciousness.

His name is I AM. Rather than calling upon his name, call with his name, by saying: ‘I am free, I am happy; I am loved, and I am healthy’. I AM is the creative power of the universe.

In the office of the sent you are like an ambassador where the sender is greater; but the sender and the sent are one. I and my Father are One.

If we persist in remaining centered in the desired state, events will take place that lead to its manifestation. These events are often not how we would expect our dream to manifest.

The story of Esau and Jacob

In the Bible, Rebekah, the wife of Issac, gives birth to twins. Esau comes out first, covered with hair and whether you are female or male, your body has hair. That is the external you, the man or woman of the sense world.

Esau and Jacob can be said symbolically, to represent the eternal states of consciousness personified in Scripture as two little boys.

The second son emerges from the womb holding the heel of Esau. He has smooth skin and is called Jacob which means ‘to supplant’. He is going to supplant his brother because although he is the second, he is going to come first. The second man is the Lord from Heaven, and the second son is your own wonderful human imagination. When you dwell in your imagination completely, you rouse the Lord from Heaven from his slumber and you are able to actively create in this world.
